Hello

I’m Laura, a wedding and portrait photographer based in a small village near Portreath on the north Cornish coast. I live with my husband, our two children, and Leonard the dog.

Always more comfortable behind the camera. It suits my nature — to observe, to listen, to take things in. My love of photography began at around the age of fifteen, after my dad gave me his Pentax ME Super — a camera that sparked a lifelong love of capturing light, moments, and the world around me. With a background in fine art, I work  in a calm and unobtrusive way, offering a little direction when needed while allowing moments to unfold naturally.

I have been photographing weddings for over twenty years, and the excitement, joy, and love of a wedding day never fade. Every wedding is different, each carrying its own energy and emotion. Documenting the story of a wedding day as it unfolds is a great responsibility, and it is always an honour to be entrusted with.

At heart, I am an observer, creating images that are authentic, heartfelt, and timeless. I focus on the moments — the laughter, the quiet glances, the fleeting gestures — capturing each day as it naturally unfolds. My aim is to provide couples with a collection of photographs that not only document their wedding but also convey the emotion and story of the day in a way that feels true.

KIND WORDS

Kirsty from Escential Blooms

"I regularly have the pleasure of working alongside this magical photographer. Laura is one of the sweetest, loveliest people I've had the pleasure to meet whilst working within this industry and she always conveys calm and mindfulness when working. She is the swan gliding around above the water whilst working furiously below. Laura's pictures really do contain a little bit of magic in every shot."
